Our story
An old house with a new dance.
Foxtrot Lounge is a bar, café, restaurant and venue on Belmont Street in Portland. We live in a Queen Anne Victorian built in 1893, the house Portlanders knew as the Pied Cow.
We opened our doors in November 2024. Inside you'll find stained glass, candlelit chandeliers and tufted velvet sofas, and out back there's a garden.
Every room is layered: floral wallpaper, vintage carpets, hanging draperies and a wall crowded with paintings, busts and mirrors. In the parlor hangs a tetraptych of the four seasons we commissioned from artist Amarette Gregor.
Out back, the garden patio has covered, heated enclosures for Portland's rainy months, and a wooden stage hosts live music. On Sundays we dim the lights for free film nights.
